We know you're terrible. Even so, you wouldn't like it if your Facebook were flooded with opinions about you.

Although it personally would hurt me a little, I would hope that Los Angeles quickly orders restaurants not to serve food late at night on at least Friday and Saturday, to deter private parties. Preferably excluding small orders, if there's any practical way to be so nuanced. That through at least this month. San Diego now, with slight exceptions, makes its restaurants close at 10.

Your way of thinking is to throw the baby out with the bath water. You expect people to let their lives, livelihoods and the economy be destroyed over something that 98% percent of the people who get infected .....recover from.

Though this weekend's gatherings are daylight-oriented, some parties happen late at night, with warm food. Every little bit helps.
A few people snitching on their neighbors won't do anything to save us from six months of pandemic, it will just create animosity and ill-will and possibly even end up with some busybody getting shot.

Anyway, if everybody was actually snitching on their neighbors, which is what it would take, the police wouldn't be able to follow up on them all.

End thread. Excellent post.

It wouldn't take a large majority. Maybe if just 20% of parties were reported (to authorities or whoever remotely controls the property), enough fear (of fines and shaming or more traditionally illegal behavior detected at the same time) would be instilled to cause a massive drop-off in private gatherings.

No, it's to wear a mask, and stay 6 feet away from others. That's it.

No, it would just make people mad and drive an even more massive wedge between law enforcement and the rest of the population. You're suggesting making it illegal to to have a party in your own home or a barbecue in your own backyard? And follow that up with police enforcement, fines, and public shaming? Not going to happen. It's a ridiculous idea.

As if CA4Now’s “way of thinking” is a minority position? Lol. 2/3rds of Americans express greater support for getting control over the virus than for opening the economy sooner.

If you think BLM riot/demonstration was bad, wait till rest of the city turns on the police and call for police defund.
