I'm on disability and way too poor to move to LA but I was wondering for the ones who do have a home or maybe more of a "working class" background from a federal standpoint, what section of the LA metro do most of them live? Is there some sections that are off limits to the poor?

Too many to name.

There are pockets everywhere. I've found that zip codes are usually good indicators.

For example, in my area of LA County (Antelope Valley), zip codes 93535 (east Lancaster) and 93550 (east Palmdale) are known to be lots of working class and immigrant. Lots of good people in those parts of town, but also more crime.

Whereas, 93551 (west Palmdale/Rancho Vista), 93510 (south Palmdale/Acton), 93536 (west Lancaster/Quartz Hill) and 93532 (the Lakes) are pretty much crime-free with much more upper and middle class/white-collar types.

This pattern seems to hold true for most of LA County.

Indicator of what? Unless you can cross reference some "poor" metric (median income, net worth, $/sqft, %employed, %owner occupied, etc) then a zip code itself isn't very useful.
This site (City Data) has these data but you need to pick at them one at a time.
Census and other demographic data need to be downloaded.
I'd bet there's a strong correlation with poverty and school performance (inverse), %ESL, %owner occupied and a few others that if I were to name them might get me in trouble.

Which is better a tent under a freeway, a junker car on a major business street or the same car in nice residential neighborhoods move to thwart parking enforcement?
