My wife and I will be moving to the Burbank area in August from Atlanta, and I'll go crazy if there's no good BBQ to be found. I've been to Burbank many times on business trips, and while there are plenty of restaurants available, I have yet to find any good BBQ.

Does anybody have any suggestions?

thanks!

The best barbeque somewhat close is a family place called Robin's in Pasadena (20 minute drive). Their rib tips are excellent and they offer a variety of barbeque styles (mustard, vinegar, etc..) Also, they have a great cole slaw. They're definitely worth checking out.

I was born in Texas, so it's in my blood. The best BBQ I've found in LA comes off my grill and smoker in the backyard.

Sorry. I lived in Georgia and Texas and there's nothing close here and I've gone to a few places including Robin's in Pasadena. Best bet is to grill your own. However, you can find some good Meican food and steak houses.

I'm coming from Memphis... I might have to get it shipped out.

i will assume that you are reffering to the BBQ you find coming from a backyard smoker? or do you mean Korean BBQ?

for the sloppy, finger sucking, fall off the bone ribs and spicy links, and greens and corn bread...the best bet would be to check any south central church on sunday. the best ribs i have gotten have been from a church parking lot. they often do this as a way of raising funds.

friends will tell me of an upcoming bbq fundraiser and i make sure to put in an order. other times i have passed by a church and been fortunate enough to see a smoker and a line (some people are afraid of even being in south central, so i doubt they will venture into the hood for ribs, but dont forget it is sunday and it is at church.)

i used to stop by a spot on avalon and 95th i think, but its no longer there. another spot a friend took me was philips. leimert, around vernon and crenshaw. it was good, but not the best. and another friend keeps on wanting to take me to another spot on 53rd and vermont, but since i havent been i cant vouch for it. you willing to explore it for us?

good luck hunting ribs.
