Is the Museum of Natural History in safe area? It looks like it's in south central LA, is there anything to be concerned about?

No, It's not in a safe area. It's out near USC on Vermont and Exposition Blvd in the heart of Rollin 30's Crips territory.

Great museum, though.

Huh? Isn't it in Exposition Park? I've never heard of Crips active in Expo Park.
