I know this is not actually the purpose of the forum, but I've run out of other options. Does anyone know of a house painter they would recommend that would work in Studio City?

You can easily find a painter, BUT BE CAREFUL, MANY WILL RIP YOU OFF. When we had part of our home painted the first bids were in the 600's and 700's, we got a bid for 250 and took it. Take your time in looking, usually old fashioned small businesses on wheels charge less. It's not hard to know how to paint, you just need the right price.

I am a painter and trust me when I say that when it comes to painting you get what you pay for. How much do you want to make a bet the guy who painted the house for 250. didn't prep and prime the house first, which means it will look great for a year or two, then begin to peel off in sheets. The next (girl) who paints the place will have to strip all that peeling paint off and start over , hopefully doing it properly. Good paint costs $25.00 a gallon even with our discount ($40.00 for you), so what kind of paint did the guy use? Even 600 - 700. was way too cheap for me.

You may have some success perusing yelp and/or angieslist for recommendations...
