Sorry (and no offense intended), but the slang and abbreviations in your post make it very difficult to read.

One Rep point for that Squeezeboxgal. I can understand the use of abbreviating when texting, although I am not one to keep things "short". Here on City Data Forum I doubt anyone is charging for the amount of letters in a message. Abbreviation has become the thing because of mobil phones and the speed at which a message can be sent over the phone. If your phone is like mine you don't have a full keypad and my service charges me for content. Smaller may be better on the phone, but it doesn't work in this format. I have heard that many students believe that it is just fine to produce a paper for a school assignment in that format as well. Our childrens school sent home the prescribed method for writing a report and I was amazed that a paragraph on abbreviating was included along with the use of terms such as OMG, LOL, IMHO, and others that are so commonly used. My thoughts are that someone with a communications degree would understand that.

You will not find a 2 bedroom apartment in or near LA for anywhere close to $1000/month.

If you move here without a job lined up, $1000 savings will not be enough.

Look on craigslist to get an idea of the rentals. You would be wanting to look somewhere around Burbank, North Hollywood, or Studio City, I'm guessing, given your aspirations. Jobs are tight now and getting tighter. I wouldn't recommend coming to LA without a firm plan (and a backup plan).

You should probably pass on LA right now.

Uhh, yeah. Definitely want to steer clear of LA right now. There are layoffs left and right. We have interns at my work that are looking at moving back home, out of state, because we just don't have the work for them and they can't find anything. These are talented, degreed, networked folks...

Yes, I have familial connections in the business that go back as far as the days of Hal Roach, however, all you're going to get out of me at this time is this piece of advice:

Drop the kiddyspeak like it's a red hot rock. In L.A., it's not seen as cute or hip. Use your education. First impressions are the most important, and the one I'm getting wouldn't get you a second glance from my people.

Good luck.

EDIT: And work on your spelling.
