Hi folks,

I'm a grad student in LA and I have a friend in Berkeley living in a co-op housing composed mainly of students, mostly vegetarians, where they share some of the activities to maintan the house (making the dinner, gardening and stuff like that).

Do you know anything of the sort in LA?

Thanks a lot,

there is a place called the "ecovillage" in LA and I believe it is off of a street called Bimini or something similar. that is the only place i've heard of that would be anything coop/communise-ish here. they have a website, you could probably google it.

I took an Enviornmental Education class once and the GSI lived in one of those co-ops and had a (vegan) bbq one weekend; my favorite things was that they had this pile of clothes in the basement and everyone would just grab clothes in the morning and go on their merry way. When I asked who was responsible for washing the clothes or determing whether it was dirty, I received no answer....
