Guys,

I just moved to this really cute apartment in Encino. My landlord is a darling but also very lazy. Everytime I turn on the bathroom tap the water comes out looking like urine and I have to let it run until the "clean" water comes through. The pipes are old and the landlord is not going to do anything about it. She says not until someone gets really ill that they will fix it. What kind of nonsense is that? Wait until someone gets seriously ill? or turns into the human tree man? YouTube - Human ' Treeman ' begs for help as he turns into a tree.

It's wrong. I'm getting all the neighbours together to get this sorted out. One neighbour just gave birth. It's dangerous. Everyones body works differently, who knows how one will react to this rusty water.

Has anyone else had this problem? I'd like to know and get people's opinions on this.

Fanx

Yes, I had this. Wait till you come back from a trip, it's completely orange. But I don't think I ever complained about, and I used a water filter anyway.

It's probably rust. And yeah, just drink bottled water.

It does sound like old rusty pipes, I am not sure you can do too much about it. The best suggestion would be to drink bottled water or filter the water. You have said it clears up after a few minutes. Probably it is more icky looking than dangerous. Many years ago we had a similar problem, but it was our own home in So California. It was very old, in the days when pipes did get rusty. We just gradually replaced them, but to expect it to be done all at once is really expecting a lot. We are talking about big bucks.
