Are there any preppy areas left in LA in 2014 or 10-20 years from now? Where should we buy a home?

I haven't heard anyone say preppy since AC Slater in the early 90s!

Where?

It may be the smallest county area-wise in California, but it is still a rather big territory, and vast swaths of it would not meet the OP's criteria.

The only true contenders would probably be Anaheim Hills, Newport Beach, and Coto de Caza.

You haven't been to Orange County lately, have you?

This is funny.

My husband grew up in Fairfield County CT, is of recent immigrant stock and is not a WASP by any stretch.

I grew up in Los Angeles County and am of Old Stock American heritage, with a father who graduated from Stanford U, as did his father, grandfather, and grandmother. This basically means I am a WASP(even baptized Episcopalian as a baby) and a 6th-7th generation Native Californian on both sides.

I just don't think "preppy" and So. CA go together. Ca. isn't the east coast. There are a lot of conservative areas in So. Ca if that is what the OP meant or WASP area (not many anymore) but I don't picture L.A. as being preppy. Of course also look when this thread was started. It is amazing how some of these threads can appear, out of nowhere.
