As long as the New Orleans saints are still funded.
I doubt that any amount of funding will turn around Louisiana though.

Why do you say that? It is just not the money it is also the people too! If people have a bad attitude towards their state and do not try then why should the leaders try? Louisiana is not a bad state they just need to fix a few things and then it would be a great state. The people need to let their leaders know what they want and keep at the leaders until something is done. That is what I am doing about the education the kids are getting.

I honestly dont have a problem with the state as it currently is, but Ive lived here almost all my life so I dont have much of an outside perspective.
But honestly, I doubt Id enjoy any other place as much as here. Perhaps specific things would be better, but overall I cant see this state becoming like others. for example, the health situation will not change, so long as cajun food exists. It is way too enjoyable to get rid of and it is a long standing tradition. It causes health problems, but thats been accepted as going with the territory. the only thing that can really change is crime, but thats much more difficult to solve than just throwing more money at the problems. In terms of work, the unemployment here seems lower than many other states, so thats one positive. But its just a very special state with a very unique population, and because of that, it wont ever be quite the same as any other state.
