My husband is in the military, and I'm having a really hard time finding our family a place for rent online..
We need at least a couple acres for goats and gardens. It could be a mobile house with at least 2 bedrooms and hopefully 2 baths.
We are very outdoorsy, we like fishing, hunting, gardening, having barbecues. We would rather not live near town, just close enough to him to get to work on post and maybe groceries.
Does anything like this exist for rent for between $800-1000?
Thanks for any help!

Wow... Guess there's really nothing there... I hope we'll find a place for our goats beforehand. Looks like there's a chance we won't be able to keep them
Is it really that bad there? We have a baby boy who will probably be about 3 by the time my husband is out of the Army, so we want to be able to do a lot of outdoor activities without having to travel..

Default Fort Polk area is for folks who like the outdoors.

I don't live in that area now, but, I did live there while in the Army. I was there from 1994 to 1997. Families with kids younger than the teen years and who like the outdoors seem to like the area very much. Plenty of land for folks with goats, too.

There are a number of large inland lakes in the area that support a very enthusiastic bass fishing crowd of folks there.
