That area is going downhill. I don't think it's completely unsafe, but I think it's getting worse. I liked my time in the 40203 part of Old Louisville, but I'm glad I left before too long. One lady who used to have a beauty shop on Oak St. said last year, "this place is turning into one big homeless shelter!"
