Hi everyone- We live in Southern OR., and are thinking of relocating to KY, around the L'Ville area, but have no idea where to even begin to look! We have horses and are looking for a nice, safe place to buy on acreage. We have looked at the gorgeous newer homes KY has to offer, around the Taylorsville area, and love them, but again have no idea where to begin our search. Any input would be very much appreciated!

You are looking at Spencer County when looking at Taylorsville. Do you need to commute to work in Louisville or just be close for occasional reasons? Starting at the Ohio River to the Northeast of Louisville, look at Trimble, eastern Oldham, Henry, Shelby, Spencer, then skip to Meade and Breckinridge Counties. I would also suggest that you might share your purchasing budget. Just remember in discussing budgets, as with your car or truck, your budget is like your engine's horsepower. If you don't have a minimal amount, you won't be able to pull the load, but just because you have 500 hp, it doesn't mean that you'll need it all.
