Hi all. My wife will be taking a 13-week temp job at Jewish Hospital starting in two weeks (she's an OR Technician - CST). We are in Memphis and know nothing about Louisville.

So, the question is: Where (as in what part of town) should she look that's very safe yet not too big a hassle to commute from/to?

Hotels would be fine but budget is small. We are thinking that renting a small furnished apartment would be the way to go. We're not real comfortable responding to Craigslist ads Craigslist so we thought dropping a question here would be a good idea to at least figure out what part of town would be safe for a woman on her own.

Thanks in advance for any replies.
