I was just on Windows Live Local powered by Microsoft Virtual Earth 2007 and noticed Louisville now has Birds eye view, which shows clear shots of the city at a 45- degree angle as a bird would see the city. It shows most of the city and all of the downtown area. This is a fabulous tool as well as Google Earth to find locations around town.

Yeah, some cities have it and some don't.

I used to get excited over still black and white satalite images.

Another neat thing about birdseye is it was taken more recently than than color satalite image. This means you can find a brown spot on the map (where new construction is ongoing) and then view it in BE to find out what the finished product looks like

I can see my daughter-in-law's truck parked on the street! The shot was taken - from hints in construction, about a year ago...?

Very cool. I am attempting to see how far out it will go. Pretty darn good actually! Birds-eye views on Goshen, Prospect, Crestwood, ect. Very helpful. Unfortunately doesn't go much pass the cities boundaries, but still helpful to show a different perspective.
