We are relocating to Louisville, kentuky to work in GE. Please advice me some of the areas and neighborhoods for family to raise. Which side of the town is rich and descent? here are my preferences.

The most affluent area are the NE suburbs, basically anything north of I-64 and east of Zorn Ave

If you are spending in excess of 1 million, look on Wolf Pen Branch Road between Norton Commons and Brownsboro Road. There are several neighborhoods being erected in the 1 mil + market. The public schools along this stretch are the best and there are many private and parochial schools in the area.

I will toot the Oldham County song. Don't overlook OC. It wins all four of your points hands down, and is not a bad drive. OC schools mean a $ 7,500 to $ 10,000 per child value vs JCPS and/or the parochial schools of Lousville.

I agree with tomocox. We settled in La Grange three years ago (from Michigan). We love it here and the public schools are excellent.
