We want the citizens of Jefferson County, the 4th Congressional District and Kentuckians state wide to know that Rep. John Yarmuth voted “YES” on the “carbon tax and trade” legislation. This bill WILL:

Raise your average home electric bill thousands of dollars per year.
Eliminate tens of thousands of Kentucky based jobs – high wage jobs – in our energy and coal industries.
Eliminate hundreds of millions of dollars of Kentucky severance tax revenue that are used for schools and roads throughout the Commonwealth. These lost tax revenues must and will be replaced by NEW taxes on Kentucky citizens.
We ask the Congressman – WHY?

Did he fail to read and understand this 1500 page law before he voted? Recall that Rep. Yarmuth openly admitted that he did not read the $787 billion Stimulus Bill prior to voting yes.
Is he more interested in following California Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s “voting orders” rather than supporting Kentucky citizens and their jobs?
Call Rep. Yarmuth at 202-225-5401 and express your concerns.

There is still time to stop this “runaway” tax bill from becoming law. We urge you to call our Kentucky Senators – or better, fax them a letter - to let them know your concerns and ask them to lead the fight against the “carbon tax and trade” legislation.
