From the article:

According to a Facebook post by West End Center, the California-based franchise will open a location in the Hub City. The fast food restaurant will be located just south of Aspen Creek.

Well, at least, it's something, shoe. This will be just the fifth Texas metro in which In-N-Out is making inroads. They got into Killeen and have been successful, so stay tuned on this one.

Very interesting. There's a lot of competition in Lubbock in the cheap-but-fresh burger market. I'm curious if it'll last. Being an out-of-state chain might work against them, but the Bible verses on the packaging certainly won't.

Lubbock, but not Houston? Odd that the chain has something against Houston, LOL

I think being a college town should help. Looking at their map of locations, it would be the only one between the 35 corridor and Tucson.

Interesting how Lubbock is getting In-N-Out...........before Pappadeaux or P F Chang's have even thought about entering the area. Wouldn't have expected that.

So, they teased people in Lubbock by saying they're coming,...................and then they had second thoughts????

They had the location. They sort of had a plan.......kind of. Where was the commitment?

It’s still pictured on the site plan for West End SC (page 3):

Also, Lubbock in the Loop still lists it on their site. I just post here.

Yeah, I know, and everything seemed to go in the right direction, shoe. It's possible that the folks at In-N-Out may be having second thoughts and that Lubbock may not have a large enough market, despite the presence of three universities in town and boatloads of burger-crazy college students, or anyone else that likes burgers. The question they probably have is, will the novelty wear off after the grand opening? Remember how Taco Cabana came and went a number of years ago?
