Douglas Sams Commercial Real Estate Editor- Atlanta Business Chronicle Email Tractor Supply Co. is planning to build a nearly 960,000-square-foot distribution facility near Macon, according to people familiar with the project.
It underscores the return of big industrial projects to Georgia, marking the fourth one of more than 900,000 square feet announced this year: Caterpillar Inc. (greater Athens); Baxter International (Social Circle); and Georgia-Pacific LLC (Henry County). The Home Depot Inc. is said to be considering a 1 million-square-foot e-commerce distribution center in McDonough, Ga.
