I hope Macon-Bibb is able to turn things around. I think the biggest obstacle to seeing growth in Macon-Bibb is the school system. I believe that the local business community and political leaders must get serious about making sure Bibb County has some of the best schools in the state.

Totally Agree Airforceguy!!! That seems to be the key to Healthy growth to any area, especially for Families with young children. If the school system is no good, I'm not raising my kids there and I will go to a County that has a good system. That might not be so important for Young professionals or older retirees but I know with me being a father I want my kids in the best School systems. With most 2nd Tier Cities being Consolidated in the state that seems to be the issue with obtaining substantial growth in either of them, they tend to seesaw... IMO, this is where Richmond, Bibb and Muscogee need to focus there energies... It would be great to see the 3 City-Counties Team up in a 2nd Tier Tri County School of Excellence Program to improve Georgia's 2nd Tier Cites School Systems. A Fall line Union of sorts, now that would them something on these blogs to Talk about and all positive Too... lol
