well health club now closed. shame on you Navicent all you people are interested in is the money to hell with everyone else. what i believe Navicent is planning is turning the building in to medical offices, retail lofts. so what you people think they are planning? Navicent should give the building back to Macon Health INC. or @ least give it to the city. it could be used as the new Senior center a Recreation center. but we all know Navicent is to sorry to do whats really right. they should have to honor the agreement that made with macon health inc.
I agree.. quite shameful on Navicent in my opinion. Now that downtown is coming alive I'm sure a deal can be worked out with some neighboring lofts to get more members. It is the coolest looking gym in my opinion. Plus it has an indoor pool.. few locations have that.
well im not going to support Navicent. my health club membership is now @ Macon State University Recreation & Wellness Center. they build a really nice 1st class facility. & they opened it to Public Membership $40 a month . No Contract, No Registration Fee, No Assessment Fee. just pay & enjoy for a month @ the time. if you want to let it laspe for a month or 2 you arent fined. has indoor pool, the pool has 2 20 yard lap lanes, a general horse play area with a basketball goal & water fall, so the people that want to just play dont get in the way of the lappers, a lazy river, a huge gym with 6 goals so if someone is using the main court there are 4 other goals you can shoot hoops, a state of the art weight area, 2 racketball courts, they have a net they can hang for you to play Wally Ball, plus to top it all off 4 bowling lanes. a snack bar. they have yoga.
The wellness center had been ignored. I looked into it, but I couldn't get over the sweatbox the cardio room was with super low ceilings keeping the humidity high. The locker room was filthy. I don't expect much as it is a locker room, but the men's side reeked of mildew and was in need of a thorough cleaning. The place has potential but somebody would have to update the whole thing for it to be viable.
