Any transplants miss this place? When I was home in Houston from breaks in college I'd set an alarm so I could get to Chick-fil-a before 10:30 so I could get one of their amazingly delicious chicken biscuits (not to mention the rest of the menu is pretty awesome too). There's one in Racine, but somehow I don't think it's worth the cost of half a tank of gas to get there and back just for a sandwich....

If only they'd open one here, I'd be a happy man.

The Milwaukee metro until very recently had them quite commonly (in mall food courts)...I have no idea why they aren't here any more. I was never a huge C-F-A fan so I guess I did not pay much attention.

They seem to be a southernish chain more, I couldn't find many in the upper midwest ont heir website. I like their frieds and chicken tenders or whatever they are called. I think the fact that they cook their 0products in peanut oil is what gives it all a special flavor. I also miss Sonic, Mrs. Fields, Long John Silvers...lol. Madison is missing those kind of chain fast food places...I suppose most people around here prefer local moma and pop places...ans then again there are some national trends here that just never catch on, like a Dunkin Donuts, they all closed here, and there are very few donut shops here at all. I have no idea why..but it has been this way for a while...

I grew up in Wisconsin and had never heard of them until I moved to Virginia. Now its one of my favorite places to eat!!! My daughter LOVES cows for some reason and she always has to show the "Moo Cow" her stuffed and cherished "moo cows" (stuffed animals). When we drive by she always says "Mommy I like a Chicka Fila!" LOL

We are planning on moving back to Wisconsin in about 3 years (waiting for finish school first) and I'm hoping and praying that they will open up more of them up there!! There is one restaurant located in Racine according to the web site. If I have to I'll drive there every few months just to satisify the craving!

When in Rome, do as the Romans do. Culver's is our Chick-Fil-A. So enjoy CFA while you're at home, and enjoy a butterburger and concrete shake and fried cheese curds while up here.

I wish I had the history, but for years, there was a Chick-Fil-A in the now-defunct Northridge Mall foodcourt in Milwaukee, and I BELIEVE in the Southridge Mall foodcourt as well in Greendale. One thing that was bizarre with the C-F-A was due to the owners' national strong Christian beliefs, they would always been closed on Sundays, which is unusual for a chain fast food place (but was refreshing to see in my opinion). Again, I am really surprised that none are left in Milwaukee, because for so many years up until recently, they were here.

Sonic - It really is bizarre that they are not in MKE / Madison, as in most parts of the country, they sprout up like weeds. They are a nice fast food option.

Mrs. Fields - I am pretty sure that these are in the Milwaukee area - I think. I believe at Southridge Mall in Greendale, if not more locations.

Long John Silvers - I believe they have these in the Kenosha area. Really, these are overall pretty bad though in general.

Chick-Fil-A's headquarters are here in Atlanta, and it seems there's one on every street corner. The billboards around the city are eye-catching.

But bring me a Culver's down here!!!!!!!

I think the Romans should build me a Chick-fil-a

Culvers is ok, but it doesn't quite hit the spot. There's one about a 5-minute drive from where I work (probably true of most places in Madison...); if they put a Chick-fil-a right there, that would be pretty ideal!
