My family and I are relocating to Wisconsin for a better life (Maryland sucked the life from us). I'm curious to know if anyone is aware of any Reggio Emilia-Style Preschools around Madison. I did find the Preschool of Arts. Any others? Thanks!

My offspring are decades beyond the preschool stage so my current knowledge is extremely limited, but a quick search yielded the following possibility: Academy For Little Learners - Madison, WI - Ratings and Reviews

Disclaimer: I know absolutely nothing about Reggio Emilia, and I have no personal experience with preschools in Madison. Our kids were teens when we moved here, so we've never had any direct interaction with any pre-K level educational institutions. Hopefully some of the other regulars in this forum will stop by with more data for you.

Good luck in your move, and I hope you find all that you seek here!

Thanks MidwesternBookWorm! We've heard nothing but positive things about Madison. I have to say this is the first time I've been really excited to move somewhere. The East Coast was just too "cold" and impersonal for us. My wife and I grew up near Detroit. We love midwest life, but we don't love high crime and no economy. Thanks again!

My kids went to Preschool of the Arts.

On this page of their site, they say "We are inspired by the schools of Reggio Emilia..."

They were just getting into Reggio when my youngest was finishing up there in the early 2000s. I would guess that it's quite engrained into the culture there by now.

I loved preschool of the arts! My two sons went there between the years 1998-2004.
It could not have been a better experience. I remember reading about their inspiration of Reggio Emilia.

I have nothing to contribute to your post, but I see you are relocating from Germantown, MD. Congratulations! I am a Madison native currently (and rather unfortunately) living in Maryland. You will love your new life! No traffic
