Just realized that the Pines is the development that was about three blocks away from where my old apartment was. I would say that it's definitely for lower income people but it's not that bad of a place. I use to go on walks with my wife and baby right by there many times during the day and night. Never saw anything to crazy, mind you I'm from NYC. Sign a short lease and if you don't liek it move.

Hi Angie, I currently lived at The Pines and I love it. I just renewed my lease. I am a renter there so I will be honest with you. I live directly behind the office in front of the pool, I haven't had any issues. I can tell you, if you go down farther close to the middle or the end of High Ridge Trail, you will not be happy with living in the pines. I also take the bus to and from work and it is fine. I take the bus and I do not have to get off at the South Transfer point. My neighbor works at the UW and she take the bus and she doesn't have to get off at the South either. I work at Meriter and I take the 47 in the morning and in the evening, I take the 44 and I do not get off at the South Transfer Point.
