I was talkin to a business owner up that way last week, and he said it's been quiet so far this season (for the snowmobilers) but hopefully going to pick up.
I saw a bobcat cross the road, on the way to greenville- first time ive seen that in 20 years- maybe the influx of turkeys in most regions of the state is increasing the bobcat populations
There's been a lot of sleds around but most business is relegated to the restaurants on the lake. I think the price of fuel and heating have something to do with that. When people have this much snow as this season down coutry, they don't have to travel far for fun. I hear the County only has a foot or so.

We have the wilderness sled dog races this weekend, the weather should make that interesting! The big tourist week will come during Presidents Week.

They ought to give everyone a free turkey permit or two, by now. I know, lets have a whole month long turkey tournament with prizes. Just like the togue tourneys being held across the state this month!
