Never did thank you , Maine Writer, for sharing the link to the Paul Cyr's email photos!

I truly enjoy looking at those each morning that he has posted a new pic.

Thanks again for sharing something so beautiful

You're welcome.

Each year I do something homemade for Christmas gifts. It varies from soap baskets (I've been making soap for 14 years), to bread, flavored butters and jam baskets, breakfast baskets....you get the idea. I'm trying to figure out how to incorporate Paul's calendar into baskets this year. Anyone have any ideas of what to add to the calendar?

maybe make it a "Maine" theme? A pine pillow, blueberry something, maple butter (yum!), etc....although I've never made a pine pillow, hmmm, have you? I love them, and I'm ashamed to say I don't even have one! I'll have to fix that Anyway, given that his pics are Maine wildlife you could even do a wildlife theme....especially if you included some sugar cookie mix and a moose cookie cutter!

I have done homemade strawberry and blueberry jams with a scone mix in a canning jar that went over big. I happen to like needlework so I cross stitched a dishtowel (just a corner) with strawberries and blueberries to line the basket.

I've done my house in the "Maine" theme for several years now for Christmas. I never thought of making gift baskets like that! Great idea, Molly!!

My whole house is done up in fresh pine boughs, pine cones everywhere and the tree is decorated in rustic old fashioned ornaments. I've been able to find several moose, bear and old timey Santa ornaments. I also have the pine cones hanging on the tree and use that fake while flaky snow stuff (plastic ) just to make it look like it could be sitting in the woods somewhere in Maine.

I'll have to try the gift basket idea this year!

You need to click on the little icon that has a yellow background, a mountain and the sun. When the box pups up you'll type in the url of the picture.
