I watched The Animal Planets, "North Woods Law" last night. It follows Maine Game Wardens. I found the program interesting and informative. Anyone else watching it?

Saw the commercial today, looked cool.

I "liked" this Northern Maine Loggers pages on facebook (found it from watching American Loggers), they don't like the show b/c it is filmed "downstate with the flatlanders."

Guess NY isn't the only place with the whole upstate/downstate thing.

Love, love, loved North Woods Law. Engel Entertainment did a fantastic job- showing the beauty of Maine and our Wardens! I'm positive it will be a "hit!" Looking foward to future episodes!

I'm sorry, but having lived in Maine my whole life so far, even though I recognize the character they are trying to highlight, Maine is not filled with hillbillys that they are trying to show. "If you see a bear charging you, are you legally able to shoot it?" Really, I've never heard anyone ask that question... The warden service does do a great job, but hopefully this show doesn't continue to make us all look like backwoods people.

I'm watching the 2nd episode right now in CA. I plan to watch the first episode which is showing at 1am tomorrow morning. I like what I've seen so far.

As far as the type of people that they encounter that make them look like backwoods people, well, have you ever seen "Cops"? That show makes EVERY town look like it's filled with backwoods type of people. You have to imagine that to be a cop or game warden, you're not going to be meeting up with the best that society has to offer. Although, there were some good citizens portrayed too.

This was my thought exactly. I looked forward to the show and did like it for the most part, but then they started showing the backwoods white trashI I thought the whole nation will think this is what Northern Maine looks like.

If they continue to show nothing but uneducated backwoods white trash living in dumps with yards full of wrecked cars, I won't continue watching it.....
