The Maine Forest Service has sent some forest rangers to the areas damaged by Sandy. A lady down there spoke on the radio about "these wonderful people from Maine who came to help us. They have these machines they carry and they can cut up trees." Guess she had never seen a chain saw before.

Then Fox news mentioned the Maine forest rangers. I was in the truck so I didn't see the video, but they said these people from Maine were a huge help. "They know how to get things done!"

People in the areas affected by the hurricane are very, very thankful for all the help from out of state.

I actually "like" the Maine Forest Rangers on FB, so I have been keeping up with their efforts. Good stuff.

Here is a good article: Maine Forest Rangers in NYC Assisting with Storm Recovery - Free Press Online - Rockland, ME

They are doing a lot of management. If you are on facebook, I recommend going to their page, always interesting things on it.
