YES!!!!! OMG that is her!!!! She's so lovely! To this day I adore that house. Oh what I'd do for it. I don't even care how bad the shape was. If I won the lottery I'd buy it sight unseen and completely redo it.

Thank you for finding it for me. <3

I live in Eastport. I find your McMansion comment offensive. The people who live in the house you're referring to are very nice who, hopefully, didn't see your comment. It's their lot to do with whatever they choose. None of my friends would scorn anyone. For the most part, Eastport is a "live and let live" town where pleasant, kind and encouraging people live.

Seems to me that she is entitled to her opinion. (I happen to agree with her on McMansions).

Agreed on the live and let live, but love for the history preserved in this town is the feeling that post came from. The house is pretty, but IMHO- just very out of place. While it would be very in place here in Ohio.. just doesn't fit, IMHO.

Not sure it's something we'd do, but just another thought we were kicking around. It would be a one story, two bedroom two bath home with a wrap around porch, nothing extravagant or anything. Anyone?
Which properties are you currently looking at? There's a nice one on Clark and Austin B is right on checking with the town code enforcement officer- great and very helpful guy! I regularly stalk Due east real estate and have my eye on a tiny little gem on County.
