What do you guys think about flannel-lined jeans? In our travels to Maine, a few people there have made a point to suggest that we purchase a couple pairs, as they are supposed to work really well in the cold weather.
We're looking into them, but they seem pretty expensive, so I'm wondering if it would be better to just wear regular jeans + thermals. Thanks!

Couldn't live without them on a really cold day in January. They really do make a difference. And on those particularly bitter windy days, pair them with some longies and you're good to go for almost anything.

When it gets cool I will shift to wearing wool [shirts, pants, socks, cap, gloves]. After I shift to my winter clothes, I do not go back to cotton until spring.

They can catch fire quickly.
A simple hole caused by a spark and woosh, the inside insulation ignites and burns the poop out of you.

My husband loves the lined jeans however, he gets the fleece lined and he has flame resistant as well which is required at some of the places he loads.

LOL! Hoping not to catch fire...I don't weld, anyhow!

Wearing them now; LL B's. Yes on the pricey. Maybe ask Santa? They're nice enough. I still wear long undie's with them, but I'm outdoors a lot.

I pretty much live in double front Carhart's & long john's in the winter, but Carhart's are also expensive, and so are good long undies.

Invest in good long underwear. :-)

Wow! I can just imagine the shock!
For some reason a scene from Gilligan's Island comes to mind…
Thanks for the heads-up!

Unless you are outdoors alot in the coldest months I wouldn't bother with the flannel lined jeans. A pair of longjohns should be enough.
