We lost power for 15 hours. It's flickering a little this morning but I think we'll be fine as long as the wind doesn't pick up too much. DH came in this morning and said he had to use the ax to get into the Jeep. Well alrighty then... I didn't hear shattering glass so it's all good.

Haven't lost power here in Brunswick YET.

I feel so bad for those folks who might be without electricity through Christmas. I hope they can find warmth and at least feel a bit of Christmas spirit.

Just like in '98, the County escapes scot free.
Go figure.

Go figure.
Eleven buildings collapsed in Houlton in 98 including the Hockey Arena. Wouldn't call that an escape.

We lost it about 10pm, and it came back on around 10am this morning. Was good for us to get the generator running and figured out. Have never owned a generator before. Also got the oil changed on the generator this morning, after it had ran overnight for about 8 hours.

The way it is. I think I need to do the same thing, and also unclog the generator since I've not used it in years, and build a little shelter for it so when its running it has protection. I'd love to convert it to propane though. Anyone know of how to get a kit to convert a 3000 watt gasoline generator to propane?

Lost my power at noon Monday. It's still out. In 1998 my power was out eight days. Unfortunately I sold my manual start generator this summer and thought I'd take my chances. Bad decision. Little brother loaned me his generator and it has gotten me through. Folks have been sol helpful and kind through this weather event.

Our power was out for 2-1/2 days here in Robbinston. Just got it back at 10:30 last night. Had a great dinner with Tinbender and Marilu. They had the power for the cooking. That'll teach use to go electric...
