I would like to rent a fully furnished summer location--6/15/15 to 9/15/15--I would like to be near water--either the ocean or large lake--if it had a kayak and WIFI that would be outstanding. I want to be able to drive up from Florida where I live full time and just bring clothes. I plan on doing a lot of hiking with my brother who lives in Bangor, but intend to meet up with him on various days so I don't have to be all that near Bangor--his blog tells where he goes in Maine and it is everywhere "Hiking in Maine With Kelley". I have been to Maine and am thus familiar with Portland and the coast to Acadia and just north of there--as well as Bangor of course. Being somewhat removed from the tourists would also be great but close enough to grocery stores and maybe a restaurant or two would also be positive. Any suggestions or recommendations are gratefully accepted. Tom

Are you looking for suggestions for a specific place to rent or for an area in which to look for a place?

Kind of both--the area would be more central using Acadia as kind of a center point and a place would be a anything set up for summer use with all things included.

I've got to think you're too late. I don't do rentals, but have friends that come to Maine and they book their places every year after year with very little turnover. Most seasonal rentals are done exactly the opposite, from Labor Day to Memorial Day as it's much more lucrative to rent on a weekly basis during the summer.

He has asked for 2015, not 2014.
