I live near there also. Very nice area....and I love Sherwood Heights. My 4 year old actually was able to get picked (out of a lottery) to go there for ther new pre-school program. The housing here has really slowed down so I think if you can sell you will be in a good position to buy. ps i am not a realtor

It seems like their prices are holding I was hoping....no offense to anyone....that the market would go lower since ours sure has, we will see, like my husband says GOTTA SELL HOUSE FIRST

I used to live in Lewiston and worked for a real estate company in Auburn. I moved to Bangor 4 years ago but would not hesitate to move back. Lewiston/Auburn gets a bad rap sometimes. Some of it is deserved but not all of it. You will hear good and bad about any city. There are some beautiful neighborhoods in both Lewiston and Auburn. Make absolutely sure you check any potential property you consider buying very well before buying. A home inspection is a must as far as I am concerned. If you have friends there already then they will know good areas. Good luck on your move!
