[quote=deerislesmile;1348246]Blue Hill actually has more schools than most surrounding areas, and a new one is opening this year:

Peninsula Montessori (actually in Sedgwick, but only 10 minutes from BH.)
Blue Hill Consolidated School
The Bay School
The Liberty School
George Stevens Acadamy
(and the new one I can't remember the name of...I'll post back after I have a look at the newspaper today..)

QUOTE]

I think these have all been mentioned earlier in the thread, except Peninsula Montessori. Both of my daughters went there about 5 years ago, but it was only preschool. Is it more than preschool now? It was a great experience for them but again--does not go up through elementary (or at least didn't).

I think the Camden area is a more neighborly-ish area for a young family. Someone tell me if I'm wrong.

Blue Hill has it's own elementary school. One of the best in the area. Camden may be more neighborish, but it is much more expensive.

Got a high school too.

The Island has a nice school... Heck even I graduated from there, but I like to tell people that it was like four years of outward bound.
