I hope I don't live to see it but this country is either going to have Civil War, Revolution or a Dictator within the next twenty years.

I'm sure the newest breed of loyalists will make this another Europe soon enough.

I'm pretty sure if that does happen, states like Vermont and Texas will be ready to secede immediately.

Or under Corporate Facist control. The growth of government employ and its self-protectionist (e.g., use taxpayer funds to pay salaries and benefits before actually accomplishing an Agency's tasks) attitude is where everything will blow up. Look at Aaron Schock (R Illinois). Dude spent money like it was his RIGHT to **** away taxpayer dollars. And it does not matter which party is in control. The government takes care of itself first. This gun thing with the right is just a bone to keep their followers in step whether they disagree with the rest of the platform or not. Maine is LOADED with democrats, greens and independents that are firmly FOR the 2nd Amendment. But Maine also has a nice, fat majority of thinking people that don't follow every command of the party line to the letter. That's why I like it here. Life ain't just a single political issue.

We have always carried concealed even before it was cool or a hot button topic and it would scare the bejesus out of you if you knew the number of permit holders packing in the Great State of Maine.

Look, I'm all for voting conservative, since the libertarian party will never win. It's just... there's NO WAY that Jeb Bush will win. After the infamy accrued by George W., I just don't see it ever happening again. I just wish we could find someone who had a chance of winning that would stand socially friendly to both parties and remain economically conservative.

Perhaps the conservatives will stand a chance after a sudden gigantic loss of electorate voting power in California (Drought mass migration, prisoner conservatives).
