I haven't been able to find a good bio on the guy, but he majored in English at Colby, so at least he has spent some time in Maine. He's a writer (although I suppose that's a matter of opinion), and much of what he writes seems to be for the purpose of getting a reaction. In that light, I suspect the author would consider this particular article about Maine quite successful.

Just because this so called "writer" did not like the remarks made by a governor who never got 50% of the vote does not mean he should disparage the whole state and everyone in it. Maybe he just struck out with the women (or men) at Colby College and is bitter about writing for a magazine that caters to metrosexual men who shave their legs and paint their toenails.

Are you saying that everyone from Connecticut thinks the same way as Mr. Magary?

Isn't that attitude exactly the kind of attitude Mr. Magary exhibits in his article about Maine?

And no, apparently he's not from Connecticut. I did some more searching around, and found another GQ article he wrote that was published online today, entitled All American Citizens Should be Able to Run for President. In the article, he says he was born in Sydney, Australia. Oh, boy.

Maine? Who cares what NYC thinks about ANYTHING! I'd be the first one in line to jackhammer that cesspool into the ocean if the chance came up.

I want 2 minutes of my life back.

I love his "imaginary black drug dealers" line.......the same "imaginary" ones that have murdered numerous people over the last few months? Anyway......this douche is a complete waste of his mother's egg and father's sperm.
