Default Name

I choose the name because in my adult life, teaching in on the west coast and in the in the middle of the country, I have wanted to teach in Maine. Now that I do, it is like accomplishing a personal goal. To be able to work doing what I like to do it in a state I love.

I am on a kind of journey. Lifelong resident of the Washington DC area, my home no longer exists in many ways - wouldn't recognize where I used to live and I do not speak the language or would be welcome there now. Moved across the river from Maryland to Virginia. Found myself in another alien place of stressed out, driven, hostile beings "Get out of my way! Me first! Everything for ME ... NOW!!" Wow, What happened? So I try to keep moving along and observing, and trying to quietly so as not to draw unwanted attention or hostility.

I found this forum when looking at Maine for a number of reasons.

I always have a hard time thinking up a good screen name.
But "Boomerang" came to me in a flash after realizing that, no matter how many times I've moved out of Maine for various reasons, I always come back. I guess I could have just as easily chosen "Bad Penny"

My name is like the actor who plays James Bond. The numbers 007 have come up in my life over and over since I got my ssn at age 16. I once lived on a street address where my number was 20070 Rodrigues Ave. I bought a new car once and the plates came in the mail with those numbers within it, like 1FRW007. My family had 5 brothers and sisters with my parents, total 7. Those are just a couple. I even try that number in the casino's and when playing the lottery. No luck yet.

I live in a forest.

I have husbanded bees. I will husband bees once again.

So living in a forest husbanding bees, ...

But then "Goof-ball retired submariner" was already taken.

I think mine is self-explanatory too! But, I was originally ILUVMAINE, but forgot my password and the City-Data Forum wouldn't respond to my email to send me my password SO I beat the system AND signed up again - this time calling myself ILUVMAINE2! LOL
