I'll be that a lot you haven't heard of the "ClawDown" that is held in Boothbay Harbor in September.
This is an event held by the Chamber of Commerce that invites 20 or so top chefs from all regions of Maine to compete for the most perfect "bite" of lobster. They take the Summer to perfect their secret recipe and then come to the competition and produce a large quantity of their entries so that the attending public can savor them and vote for the one that is best in a number of categories. The lobster is provided by the Chamber. Last year it was held in a huge boat house. Tickets are going on sale at the Chamber in Booth Bay Harbor soon and this years event will be on the 14th of September. My wife and I attended last year's event as a treat to ourselves and it was well worth the trip up from Connecticut. We'll be there this year, too, after finding someone to take our Red Sox tickets for the same day!
Just thought I'd bring this to your attention. If you love the way creative chefs can produce such sumptuous and gorgeous concoctions with food, this is right up your alley. The bites are NOT small, btw, but just right. You can see highlights of the event on youtube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ax7haCHMzFs
