Maine is on a mission to clean up its streets, one expletive-filled license plate at a time.
The Maine Secretary of State’s office has begun to enforce new regulations on the content of state-issued license plates, sending out recall letters to owners of problematic plates.
Why couldn’t they use some common sense when they first issued the tag. I understand we are living in different times but someone driving seeing a license plate they feel is offensive and then taking the time to report it just causes me to wonder what is next?
Maine has become the Nanny State of the Northeast. It's getting kind of ridiculous. "Don't forget social distancing and masking up when you're on those remote trails ...". Just insane. It starts with (former hopefully) Gov Mills.

Any examples of existing "crass" Maine plates? I've never seen one. But I'm just a second-class from away Mainer.
F*CKYOU is a good example. How does not being a native Mainer affect your vision?
