I am calling all the town halls in my area of interest (as this appears to be the ONLY way to find out what towns have high speed internet available... Time Warner suggested I "call my town hall" when I asked if they had a map available to show me where their (spotty) coverage was.

Two of the community offices have mentioned service "in the immediate area of the town hall" by TDF but have been unable to tell me any more, other than it is "phone"...

Anyone able to give me a more complete reference for a company that offers some sort of Internet service, also spottily, in the area north of Bangor?

I have DSL from Fairpoint. They have the best rural internet service.

Yes, we did "benchmark" your service when we were up there...

However the speed you were getting -- while more than adequate for most businesses -- would be frustrating for some of the work that I do. And it seems that I am likely to keep some of those long-distance print projects!

I am exploring all sorts of options, and had not heard of this "TDF" before, and have had no luck in Googleing it.. I keep getting Tour De France links. LOL

I have never heard of TDF.

No Fairpoint available in this UT.

We use MidMaine Comms, they are the local monopoly.
