Statements like that make the idea of moving to an 'unorganized township' sound very negative. When I do not think that you have any solid reasoning behind the negative tone.
Down this way Cooper, I believe, tried to go unorganized a few years back. The state told them no. I got the impression from teh article that the LURC et al were running a tight budget as it was. A lot of ut's are fantastic to live in. Granted this is based soley on talking to folks there but still....

I did one pole with weather head / meter /main breaker box, located 100 foot into my property. I think it cost me $800.

Then I did 300 foot of heavy copper 3-strand in conduit in a 18 inch trench.

Copper prices change ever week, so me quoting you what I paid would be meaningless.

NMLM dug my trench for me.

At the pole I have 200 amps, and 2 outlets.

At the breaker in my home I have 150 amps.

Our township was once 'organized'.

Seems kind of funny when you consider that a town is termed 'organized'; like "military intelligence', an oxymoron statement.

At one time, our town decided they were not going to do it any more, and they stopped. The corporation elected to fold and dissolve, all properties and funds were dispersed, and the papers were filed.
