Even though I don't know many of you, it's been a treat being a part of this forum. Thx for all of your fun, informative input and I'll keep my nose headed northward with visions of finally selling this wee lil Cape Cod abode and gettin' my butt up there to the midcoast in '09. IT WILL HAPPEN. Geez, I'm there already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

May your 2009 be filled with prosperous, enlightening, healthy, fun and creative times and I'll look forward to meeting more of you down the pike!

I'm party poopin' tonight. The roads are slick and the snow's still fallin'. Too bad...we were planning a fun pot luck...sittin' by the woodstove won't be all that bad though....counting my blessings.

Do have a safe night.

Happy New Year.

I've learned much in the last year around here. And laughed a lot too. I've spent way too much time reading posts here and creatively avoiding some of my chores but it was worth it. I'll do it again because I'm a creature of habit. I've quoted many of you and am proud to tell others about my cyber acquainances. I look forward to meeting some of you in the future.

I'll be leaving soon and heading down to Charlotte before heading back out west. I'll be stopping in Missouri for a break first and then on to the Bay Area.

I'm hoping my business will do better in '09 and can get my personal life back on track too. This last year has been something for sure. But I'm somewhat confident that the next 365 days will be better than the last 365 days. If not, Maine will be seeing a lot more of me.

I probably will pass out after I smoke my cigar, and won't make it to 2009 awake...

But at least I'm here in Camden with my beloved, drinking beer and cooking chili on this last evening of 2008. With any luck we'll be ringing in 2009 from somewhere in Colorado...

Happy New Year to all of you!

Talking Happy new year, mainers!!!!!!!!!!!

Haven't been around the past week--I was actually in a place where there was NO internet service! The world is digressing! Anyway, wanted to wish EVERYBODY a very happy, safe, but not necessarily sober NEW YEAR! DH and I are on the road, between a visit to his parents and a visit to our daughter and grandkids, before we head home to find out when we'll be moving to Maine. I promise to give fair warning before we come up for a visit before the move.
Question--What do folks around Calais do for New Year's? Where we live now, we usually go to a private club in Mexico where they have a blow out party every year. Won't be there this year, and wouldn't have gone anyway. Too much trouble south of the border these days. Anyway, we were curious about what we might expect to be doing this time next year?
