I can think of a few that I'd be happy to see work there!

I'm bummed out by the whole thing now. Alison pointed out that it's just a drive thru. That means nobody's going to send me tips in return for not waitressing there. I'm depressed. I don't want to talk about it anymore.

I'm not sure how we're going to get George Clooney, Brad Pitt or McDreamy to work in Maine!

I'm short too, then there's the whole gravity issue.

It has been my observation that most females in Maine have with them all of the requisite parts to serve coffee and donuts in such a business.

Are not most females in Maine pretty? [yes]

Nice smiles, happy eyes, and the confidence to go out in public without lots of makeup?

I think that the majority of ladies in Maine could [if they desired] pursue such a career move.

Nice save

To be honest, though, it will take a female with a certain type of body to make this business successful. While we (truly) believe that the women in our lives are heavenly creatures, do you honestly believe that many of them have what it takes for this line of work, as far as the general public is concerned? I am sorry, but nice eyes, smiles and personality are not going to sell much coffee at a place like this. At a normal coffee shop, yes. At a topless coffee shop, no. Most guys won't even notice the woman's smile.

Do you think that enough women would frequent this place to keep it in business? The thing with topless women is that many (straight) females would not be too bothered by it and would stop by for the occaisional coffee. Guys won't do that. I do not care how seccure a straight male is with his sexuality, a straight male simply would not willingly be served anything from a topless male.

Honestly, I didn't think about it enough to over analyze a joke.

You're right, K! It's very different between men and women. Down here, where you have strips clubs in every neighborhood, it's nothing to see couples going in together. There really are just as many women as men in there. I've also known women who danced and women who were servers. Their female friends would stop in to visit and hang out for a while. It's no big deal.

The same is NOT true of men when Chippendales are in town!

Hmmm, so women are more secure than men......interesting!

I will leave the whole objectifying women thing out of this, but I am concerned with one aspect that this place will foster; creepy men. Strippers, at least the smart ones, have body guards, and for good reason. The potential for lewd comments towards women (yeah, I know what some of you men are thinking; they are topless, so there fore they are asking for it and it is part of the job so they do not mind) are high, let alone that one creep who is going to feel the need to hang out in front of the store while they are closing.

The topless donut shop in Westbrook is part of the strip club. And you better believe that they have their own security.

I dunno. Just my thoughts. I have no problem with this sort of business as long as everyone involved fully understands the risks and takes appropriate actions.
