There have been so many problems with outdoor wood boilers, and I believe in being as cautious as possible, particularly when we are dealing with something new

Pellet stoves burn incredibly clean. What is really amazing here, is that some genius is putting them in outdoor boiles, thus wasting alot of the energy.

there is nothing new about out door wood boilers.at our old house i put one in 12 years ago and it is still going.the problem is that the people that put them in think they can burn any thing they want in one (hence alot of smoke)
you should allways burn seasond wood in them the lower the moisture in the woor the less smoke.as far as pellets they give off allmost no smoke and burn cleaner than cord wood.wood heat has been a way of life for many people for hundreds of years and its not going away.
