It's no wonder drugs cost so much.

In extremely wealthy countries [like the US], drug pushers do set very high prices and they make huge profits.

While the same companies, marketing the same drugs, in poor countries will sell them for 10% or 2% of that price.

The reason behind the high prices that we pay, are due to how wealthy Americans are. And our law makers protect those drug pushers.

Oops! Just noticed my "typo" - I meant PREscriptions.

I had a good giggle at tcrackly's post after because I recall a note on the drug sample closet when I was at my doc's one day it said (paraphrasing):

If you won't leave enough samples to give to a patient for a long enough time to see if they work, then don't bother leaving any."
