Annapolis Royal in Nova Scotia. It was actually founded in 1604 by the French who named it Port Royal..in 1710 when the British took it over it was renamed Annapolis Royal. It was the most fought over land in Canadian history.It is a beautiful place to visit.. the Gardens there are truly beautiful.....

Hubby and I will take any excuse to explore new places, especially nice ones. I'm looking forward to our first trip to Nova Scotia, and all the places we'll travel through to get there! I love all the history stuff. Anybody coming to the Calais Bicentennial this summer? You wouldn't believe the stuff they've got planned that week. If you're into history, you might want visit.
