It has been a while since I drove down that way, though I thought your sign was on the bridge.

While the:
Welcome to Maine
The Way Life Should Be

sign is once your back on the ground again.

Nope it's on a sign post just after the way life should be sign. We went by it two weeks ago. You're right it used to be on a bridge. I guess they thought drunks look up more than sober people??? They should paint it on the road lol!!

Our all-too-brief week in Maine is coming to an all-too-soon end. The kayaks are back up on the van's roof, the alarm (had to look for it!) is set for oh-dark-thirty tomorrow morning, and we had a *wonderful* time.

It rained a couple of times at night ... the only time we saw rain during the day was today, but we had finished our last paddle, and so the rain - a brief but strong storm - didn't interfere at all.

And naturally, even before we're outta here, we're talking about when we might get back.

Be well, Mainers.

Returning to lurker mode .....

You know, there's no going back once you've come out into the open, right?
