Caribou Maine Chamber of Commerce and Industry

The county is the county is the county. Whether you're considering Ft Kent, Madawaska or Caribou, I doubt anyone up there cares much about the color of your skin. Do you have a job, a place to live, do you have a 4WD vehicle and can you ride a snowmobile. That's about all they'll care to know.

Best of luck in your research.

Mykel I live in Caribou and it is very welcome of minorities. We do have a movie theater and just about anything else you might want as well. There are several good stores and a bunch of shops. There is a mall 10 miles away.
Hope this helps.

I just bought some parts off e-bay for a Arctic Cat sled from a guy in Caribou, so good taste in sleds must abound up there

Biggest selling sled in Caribou area though is the Polaris. Rough guess would be that 70-80% of the sleds you see from locals during the winter are Polaris. There are a few die-hard Arctic Cat fans, but they are a minority - a minority I might add that gets ragged on by the Polaris group. That is the only Minority group I can think of that is given a hard time in that area. You will be treated the same if you are Black, white, yellow, green, or fuchsia - Just don't wear an Arctic Cat jacket .

Caribou has shops downtown, a four screen movie theater and there is a Mall about 20 minutes away in Presque Isle.
