Hey there everyone,
I was wondering if there's a webiste where it is possible to find homes/apartments/townhomes NOT from managements but from PRIVATE RENTERS only.
We've been trying craigslist but that's full of scams, all the people we've been trying to contact are (or so they said) from Nigeria renting their homes for ridicolously low prices and/or fair prices and asking from money then to get the keys somewhere else bla bla bla.. *DELETE*
We've also tried realtor.com but it looks more like a resource to find homes to buy, although the rentals are very pricey.
Is there anything else out there?

you can try Homesdatabase.com just put in the area you are looking for, under property type click on rent. Once that map shows up check the update map and zoom out till you find what your looking for.

Yeah I was gonna say a good old fashioned newspaper is probably your best bet. Unfortunately any open to public adds type site is going to have more scams than actual homes.
