Hearing about the ex cop that died, sounded like something went down when he was an officer and couldn't get through the hardship of seeing someone either died or something (can't remember now). Anyway, I think he's had mental health issues for years after the incident when he was a cop. Too bad for him and his family.

Perhaps it coincided with the idea of Trump running for President!

I used to go across it all the time. I'll be going across it on Monday. As bridges go, it just doesn't seem that high to me to risk it for a suicide attempt.

huh???? What do you go over the bridge at night?

Height
Vertical clearance: 186 feet
Height of suspension-bridge
towers: 354 feet (eastbound),
379 feet (westbound)

^^ I think that's plenty high to commit suicide off of.

To my knowledge, all but only one or two that jump from the highest point on the bridge have died.

Remember, from that high the water is like hitting concrete.

Correct. It is like hitting concrete when you jump off a high bridge.

Actually according to Mythbusters, it's not quite like hitting concrete although the G loads are extremely high at almost terminal velocity. Very high mortality rate anything higher than 140' up.

Oh my goodness that's terrible. What are you even supposed to do when your cars breaks down on the bridge? I would be terrified of that. The driver of that truck must have not been paying attention because it's not difficult to see what's in front of you driving on that bridge, and the speed limit is 50 for crying out loud!
